Elisabeth: “Hagabadet is my second home”

Elisabeth Brodendal, 70, calls Hagabadet Älvstranden her second home. After six and a half years as a member, she describes her time there as the best investment she has ever made in her health, happiness, and quality of life.

When Elisabeth first started training at Hagabadet, she had no idea how much of a difference it would make to her wellbeing. Today, she feels stronger, more flexible, and more balanced than ever before.

This is truly an investment in myself and my health. I feel so much better, both physically and mentally. I have better balance and stamina, and I feel more supple. This is my second home – I need to come here, otherwise something feels off, she says with a smile

Favourite spots in the spa

As Elisabeth gives a tour of the spa, it’s clear how much she enjoys being there.

– I often sit here and relax in the foot bath. I usually add some salt and just sit and reflect. It’s a wonderful place to unwind.

Another favourite is the infrared sauna.

– It does so much for your health, and your skin becomes soft and smooth. It’s definitely a favourite, she explains

And of course, the pool.

– I truly love it. It’s so calm and cosy here. A beautiful oasis where you can simply be.

Movement with joy

Beyond the spa, it’s the workout classes that keep Elisabeth coming back. Variety and joy are key.

– There are so many different classes, and one of my absolute favourites is NIA. It’s a free-form dance class mixed with strength training and martial arts. Everyone can take part on their own terms, and we always leave with big smiles and a sense of happiness.

A place that makes a difference

For Elisabeth, Hagabadet is about more than just training and spa experiences. It’s a place where she finds energy, community, and time to simply be.

– I feel so much better since I started coming here. This really is a place that makes a difference in life, she says.
