How Red and Infrared Light Work

Red light therapy combines red light and infrared light, which provides multiple positive health effects. The different wavelengths of light stimulate cell activity and increase blood flow in the body. They penetrate deep into the tissues and reach the cells, which helps promote cell metabolism and stimulate their functions.

Red light stimulates cell growth and improves skin health, for example by relieving irritation and inflammation. Infrared light is usually divided into Far Infrared (FIR) and Near Infrared (NIR). The difference is the wavelength of the light, which provides different health benefits. In short, infrared light warms the body from within, which gives deep relaxation while also stimulating collagen, reducing joint pain, improving the immune system and more.
